Recently, a sports star made things even more interesting when he posted a funny video on TikTok that showed him scrolling through his phone while seated.
As Fernando Alonso, 41, looks up with a cheeky wink and smile, the sound of Taylor Swift's track "Karma" plays. The former Formula One racer captioned the video "Feeling 33", an apparent reference to her hit single "22".
An accompanying post read "Race week era" alongside a wink emoji, hinting perhaps at Taylor's current "The Eras" tour.
Rumors of a romantic connection between Taylor Swift and Spanish Formula One driver Fernando Alonso were sparked last week when an anonymous tip was shared on DeuxMoi's Instagram account.
The source told the outlet, "A couple of Spanish magazines have been posting about TS [Swift] and Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso."
"According to them, the couple has been seeing each other for a week now. Nothing serious tho since they are both recently single."
To amuse its followers, the account included the post within a section headed "for entertainment purposes only." It even had a disclaimer that declared, "some of the emails posted are complete BS."
Nevertheless, this did nothing to dampen people's enthusiasm in response to the Spaniard's musings.
One fan responded on TikTok, "Fernando please confirm or deny, was mastermind (A song by Swift) written about you."
A second person wrote, "Oh my god Taylor X Fernando confirmed?"

Following the rumor, many users jumped onto Twitter to support the alleged couple.
One fan created a hilarious photoshopped image of them together, and numerous tweets poked fun at the four-inch height gap between Taylor and her alleged boyfriend. It was certainly an amusing sight to see!
Just a few weeks ago, it became known that Joe and Taylor had parted ways around the same time Fernando and his longtime girlfriend Andrea Schlager split. Their relationship first blossomed in the F1 sports paddock.
In a statement, the athlete said during his breakup, "We wanted to tell you that our relationship as a couple ended."
"We have been lucky enough to share a fantastic time together, and it will continue to be so, but on a different form of affection."
