"Some Like It Hot" is the most nominated act at the 2023 Tony Awards! With 13 nominations, including Best Musical, and two Best Leading Actor nominations, the musical proved triumphant this year.
The 2023 Tony Award Nominations were announced yesterday by Myles Frost and Lea Michele via the Tony Awards' Official YouTube channel. The production, which is slated to perform on the TODAY Show, received the joyful news moments before they performed.

The 2023 adaptation of the cult classic film from 1959 is the most nominated act at the 2023 Tony Awards!

"Some Like It Hot" might also bring Mariah Carey her first ever Tony. Carey serves as a producer for the musical. Since it was nominated for Best Musical, producers of the show each gets a Tony for it. Should the company win, Carey gets hers too, which would make her halfway to achieving EGOT Status.
Last year, Jennifer Hudson secured her EGOT Status when "A Strange Loop" won Best Musical, a show she is a producer of.
