Rumors have been circulating that Shakira and Tom may be more than just friends. However, TMZ has stated otherwise.
According to their source, the singer is not in a relationship, and the two are merely part of the same social circle due to mutual friend Lewis Hamilton.
The Formula 1 racer had invited both stars as his guests for an event in Miami, so they spent time together at the raceway.
On May 10, the "Waka Waka" hitmaker was seen in Miami with the Formula One driver.
Although photos of the two have sparked rumors of a possible romance, it has been reported that any interaction between them was simply platonic. The singer was spotted receiving a friendly assist from Lewis as she boarded a boat to join other friends.
Recently, it has been reported that following her split from Gerard Pique in 2022, the "Hips Don't Lie" singer is not interested in a new relationship. The two had two sons together, and the singer had difficulty processing the breakup.
Reports indicate that just after their separation, Gerard began seeing his now-current girlfriend, Clara Chia, which did not sit well with Shakira - some of her music since then has seemingly hinted at this.
In the single "TQG," released in Feb. 2023, Shakira and Karol G tell a story of moving on without regret. "But I'm now focusing on me. What we lived, I forgot, and that's what has offended you," they sing.
In December 2020, Shakira and Gerard Piqué quietly reached an agreement over the custody of their two sons outside of court.
After this decision, Shakira relocated from Barcelona to Miami with her children. The couple first revealed their separation back in June 2022.

Shakira: Woman of the Year At Latin Billboard Music Awards
On May 6, Shakira was awarded the Woman of the Year accolade at the inaugural Billboard Latin Women in Music ceremony and delivered a stirring address.
Particularly poignant were her words: "The essential thing is to stay true to who you are."
Having signaled the commencement of a "new chapter" in her life, Shakira recently attended the Billboard Latin Women in Music event.
