After a month of allegedly dating, Taylor Swift and Matty Healy have reportedly broken up.

According to TMZ, the first media outlet to break the news, a close source revealed that the "Anti-Hero" singer is "single again," although they did not provide a clear reason behind the split.

"Taylor and Matty broke up," an Entertainment Tonight source announced. "They are both extremely busy and realized they're not really compatible with each other.

"Taylor's friends want what's best for her and aren't shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship."

Neither Swift nor Healy has confirmed the split, however, one thing is for certain: fans are definitely relieved that the relationship is over.

Whirlwind Romance

When the pair first started dating, they took everyone by surprise. The "Love Story" singer was fresh out of a six-year relationship with actor Joe Alwyn.

It was later revealed to Entertainment Tonight that "Taylor and Matty have been hanging out recently and Jack Antonoff reconnected them."

Apparently, they just rekindled an old flame that did not work out many years back.

Healy was seen several times in Swift's "Eras Tour," and was also spotted entering and leaving her apartment and going on dates, hand in hand.

A source reportedly described the relationship as "so refreshing," adding that Swift is "happier than she's been in a long time" despite the constant backlash of associating herself with the problematic singer.

"Things between them are fairly new, so it's hard to tell if they'll go the distance. But he makes Taylor really happy, and she wants to be with him whenever she has the chance."

In fact, Swift herself has talked about being blissfully happy during one of her concerts.

Break Up

Many things have taken place in a span of a month. Aside from the whirlwind romance, fans have also been demanding accountability on Swift's part for dating someone they claimed was a homophobe, racist, and antisemitic.

#SpeakUpNow began trending after an open letter addressed to Swift went viral, but the singer did not address any of the allegations.

According to Elle magazine, the last time Swift and Healy were publicly seen together was on May 25.

Meanwhile, fans are definitely relieved that the relationship is over. They flocked to Twitter to express their sentiments.

"I would be completely at peace with never hearing about Matty Healy for the rest of my life."

"Oh, her PR team has had it," another added.

"Now he needs to be in jail."
