Hayley Williams has some strong opinions about politics that she does not want people to get twisted about.

During the Adjacent Music Festival in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the Paramore frontwoman spoke up against Rob Desantis, the Governor of Florida, and directly addressed his supporters.

However, now that she had the time to reflect on her actions and her words, Williams has decided that perhaps her wording the first time around was not done with finesse or would get her message across.

"I hate that the only thing I really know to say to people I deem racist or bigoted in any way is 'you're dead to me' when I know that message isn't the kind that's going to change a hateful heart," Williams wrote in an open letter shared via Paramore's Discord channel over the weekend.

"How can I feel soft and tragic about it in one moment and ragey and rigid the next? Because that's human."

Politics in a Music Festival

This is not the first time Williams has addressed her feelings about politics in the past few months.

Back during Paramore's performance, she paused to openly discuss about politics; the frontwoman famously declared "I'm very f**king comfortable talking politics!"

"If you vote for Ron DeSantis, you're fucking dead to me. Is that comfortable enough for anyone?"

Other than calling out politicians and their supporters, the singer is also an avid supporter and ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. These are among the things that she actively advocates for and talks about during Paramore performances.

Who is Ron DeSantis?

DeSantis is a Republican Governor who is "anti-woke." He has made it his mission as a politician to make political directives that make Florida an unsafe or hostile environment for the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as people of color, and other minority groups.

During Paramore's set, they brought out the first Gen Z member of Congress, Maxwell Frost, onstage to help them sing the bridge of their hit song "Misery Business."

According to reports, Frost, 26, began hyping the crowd up by shouting: "F**K Ron DeSantis! F**K fascism!"

Online, Front followed up his statement by sharing a video clip of himself denouncing DeSantis, "I said what I said."

He then shared a video clip of himself performing alongside Williams and Paramore, "Very grateful for this moment. I've been practicing in the shower for years."
