It was a tumultuous couple of days and weeks for Matty Healy after the rumors that he and Taylor Swift dated (and now broken up) took the internet by storm. Yesterday, TMZ reported that the two had broken up after weeks of dating.
All while the two were reportedly dating, Healy was the subject of severe criticisms on social media, egging him for his recent problematic statements in a podcast episode about Ice Spice. Many would think that this might be Taylor Swift's tipping point to end it all, but a source says it's actually not.
Matty Healy Life Update
In a video uploaded by vibessera on Twitter, she captured The 1975 frontman being candid in a recent concert. Matty Healy paused and addressed the crowd with a quick speech and life update.
"My friend had some very, very beautiful signs that said, 'You are loved,'" Healy said as he pointed to a sign at the crowd. "That was very, very kind of you."
At one point, Healy almost dropped a name, but he successfully kept himself from doing so. Continuing his speech in a melancholic tone, Healy had this to say: "As you're aware, I'm not very online at the moment and I'm sure people have just been calling me a c*** relentlessly."

Since TMZ initially reported the news and several publications echoed the reports, Swifties and a large part of the internet have been celebrating on Swift's "liberation" from Matty Healy.
Healy was dubbed "problematic" because of his recent antics and controversial racist comments against Ice Spice on the Adam Friedland Podcast earlier this year. In case you missed it, Healy joined the other people on the episode to mock Ice Spice about her ethnicity and accent.
Matty Healy, Taylor Swift Cause of Breakup
In another report by TMZ, it was revealed that Taylor Swift apparently knew the statements that Matty Healy threw at Ice Spice before even dating him.
But as people on the internet kept pressuring Swift to ditch Healy, she kept everything all out. The same source also revealed that the reason why Taylor Swift broke up with Healy wasn't because of the statements, but rather "they simply don't have time for each other."
A People Magazine source even confirmed that Swift and Healy were never even "exclusive" and were just casual all along, compared to how the internet and the media sensationalized their relationship.
