Kevin Federline voiced his concerns that ex-wife Britney Spears might walk the same path of tragedy as Amy Winehouse.
In a recent interview, Kevin Federline, ex-husband to the pop princess, and her estranged father Jamie Spears suggested that the "Womanizer" singer may be using drugs that could have a deadly outcome.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Kevin said, "I fear she's on meth - I've been praying someone would make it public and that she wakes up."
"It's terrifying. She is the mother of my boys."
Jamie, aged 70, expressed his concerns to a reporter that Britney could follow in the footsteps of Amy Winehouse.
The British singer-songwriter died of alcohol poisoning at the age of 27 back in 2011 after years of drug abuse.
Jamie Spears, who was accused of abuse during his time as her conservator, questioned how her well-being had changed since then. He asked to evaluate it now and gauge the difference.
Despite being surrounded by a spotlight for 13 years, Britney Spears' conservatorship has ended. Despite this, significant worries have been brought to light in a recent bombshell interview - to which the "Toxic" singer has yet to make any statement.
The report also noted that Sean Preston and Jayden, Britney Spears' sons aged 17 and 16, respectively, have seen drugs delivered to their mother's home and are refusing to visit.
Kevin, who receives a staggering $40,000 monthly in child support from his ex-wife, revealed that he is always fearful when the phone rings. "Every time the telephone rings, I fear that there will be devastating news," he said.
The DJ spoke sincerely, "It's something that terrifies me - the thought that the kids will open their eyes and see that Mom has done something so drastic."
Just last month, a buzz spread throughout the entertainment world that Britney Spears had allowed her children to move to Hawaii with their dad following a court battle initiated by Kevin Federline.
