Former Oasis member Liam Gallagher canceled his scheduled wedding with his longtime partner, Debbie Gwyther, due to a heartbreaking reason.

Gallagher and Gwyther have been preparing for their big day for years, but they had to cancel it several times over the past years. After the COVID-19 pandemic started, their supposed 2020 wedding had been moved, but the new date this year ended up being halted, as well.

Liam Gallagher, Debbie Gwyther's Wedding Canceled

In an exclusive report by The Sun US, it was revealed that Gallagher was forced to postpone his Italian wedding to his longtime partner as he recuperates from hip surgery.

The couple reportedly planned their wedding on the shores of Lake Como in May but got canceled due to the former Oasis member's health issue. According to a source, the couple decided to push it back again after weeks of contemplating whether it was okay to get married at that time.

"Liam is still recovering from his hip surgery and wants to be on top form when he says I do for a third time," the source said. "Instead of putting the whole thing on ice, Liam and Debbie chose to turn their wedding into a holiday."

Gallagher and Gwyther reportedly spent the day with Gene, Lennon, and Molly alongside his brother Paul and her sister Katie. On the other hand, Noel Gallagher - who has been estranged from his brother- was not invited to the get-together.

After postponing the wedding, the couple reportedly started organizing another date with both of their families.

Liam Gallagher "Secretly Wed"

Before the recent report emerged, The Mirror said in a May article that their family and close friends flew to Italy for the couple's "secret wedding."

The initial report revealed that Gallagher and Gywther's representatives had not commented on the buzz yet, but the recent The Sun's article disclosed that their travel was only for the family date.

Gallagher's wedding to his partner will be his third following his marriages with actress Patsy Kensit and All Saints singer Nicole Appleton. He previously opened up about his failed relationships in an interview with Q Magazine, saying things would have been different if he did things the other way around.

The couple got engaged in 2019, and no new update has been released yet regarding the next potential wedding schedule.
