Andy Cohen has had a relationship with John Mayer for quite some time already. The two men's relationship has sparked questions and confusion among their fans. It turns out, they were actually "in love" with each other.
However, the host revealed that there's nothing to read more about their friendship than just a close one, and definitely not to a level like Mayer with Taylor Swift before.

Gracing The Howard Stern Show, Andy Cohen finally, once and for all, revealed what he thought about musician John Mayer.
"I am in love with John Mayer. We are in love with each other," he confessed. But when asked by the radio show giant, Cohen confirmed that he and Mayer have never been "sexual" with each other.
For those who do not know, Mayer was present on many important occasions for the said host. In fact, Mayer spoke at Cohen's Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony, as well as at Cohen's baby shower and even on his 50th birthday. (via People Magazine)
This was not the first time Cohen explained his relationship and closeness with John Mayer. Speaking to the Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi in December 2022, Mayer expounded their similarities with each other.
"John Mayer is someone who is very in touch with his emotions. He very quickly in our friendship started saying, 'You know what, I gotta tell you something - I love you,'" he said in a statement.
Per Cohen, Mayer is someone who could candidly express his feelings very outright: "just this stuff that straight guys aren't necessarily supposed to say."
He also told CNN in 2018 that they have a "sweet friendship" and they are t"ogether all the time."
Cohen had this to say about people who were interested in their friendship: "I think that I was not surprised because we also have a great love for each other. So, it just seems like the obvious assumption."

John Mayer on Andy Cohen's Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony
In February 2022, Cohen finally received his well-deserved Hollywood Walk of Fame. For his ceremony, Mayer was present, and he had a lot of stuff to say about his good friend.
"I've walked with him down city streets and been on FaceTime with him as he goes about his day, and each and every time he's recognized, he's said 'hello' to just like a friend. 'What's up Andy?' 'Hey Andy!' 'Loved what you said about de Blasio!' He's also my friend, my dear friend," Mayer said. "And there are times in life when you just need a friend you can count on."
