It appears that Lil Nas X redeemed himself when in his recent performance because his previous one was met with controversy and many fans were disappointed at his show in New York City.

According to Rolling Stone, the musician made his debut at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival stage in Manchester, Tennessee, but he already made an impact before despite not being at the event itself.

During the last Bonnaroo event before the pandemic hit, a DJ played the singer's classic hit "Old Town Road" which made the crowd go wild, that's why many were looking forward to seeing him at this year's edition to perform it live.

At the time, Lil Nas X was only 19 years old, but now, he's already 24 and concertgoers were amazed at his live vocals and energy on stage.

In addition to the song mentioned above, he also performed some of his biggest hits including "Industry Baby," "That's What I Want," and many more.

Lil Nas X Governors Ball Performance Was a 'Total Downer'

Lil Nas X may have slayed his Bonnaroo festival appearance, it was completely different when he performed at the Governors Ball in New York City last week as many considered his performance as a "let down."

In early reports, the musician took the stage of the Flushing Meadows Corona Park and there was one moment when he told the crowd that he didn't want to be there.

A source spoke to Page Six to reveal one of the possible reasons why he didn't feel performing for the crowd and it was because of technical difficulties which led him to get off the stage for a few minutes.

Some of the issues that Lil Nas X and other artists experienced were regarding the sound and there was also a moment when the microphone was not working properly.

"He said he had a bad day and just didn't want to do it," the insider claimed, adding that his set was "a total downer."
