Ice Spice has had a wonderful 2023 so far as she instantly became one of the biggest artists in the world in a span of months. More recently, the female rapper amassed another success that solidifies her title as the Princess of Rap.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, the musician, whose real name is Isis Naija Gaston received a big milestone in the popular streaming platform Spotify after she surpassed one billion streams.

The biggest reason why she got that many listeners on the platform is because of her massive fan base that keeps on growing and growing almost every day.

One of the contributions to her success was also due to her collaborations with big-time artists like Nicki Minaj for the remix version of her song "Princess Diana" and the latest version of Taylor Swift's "Karma."

This success is big for someone who hasn't released an album yet as she only has an EP under her belt titled "Like..." released earlier this year. She also haven't gone on tour yet.

Ice Spice Debut Album Coming Soon?

Now that Ice Spice has been harvesting the fruit of her labors, many fans have been wondering if she's going to extend her achievements by releasing her first-ever album.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar a few months ago, the musician, who was born and raised in New York City, said the record is "definitely cooking up right now" but she never gave fans an official release date yet.

"I feel like I'm bringing a new sound to people that they haven't really heard before, being one of the few girls to bring drill to a mainstream level. It's refreshing and fun - I'm really enjoying it," she added. (via Hypebae)

In early reports, when asked about her plans for this year, it appears that the pop star is enjoying her career so far as she's looking forward to performing at music festivals.

She also told Dazed that she would like to release more singles leading up to her album.

Since she already collaborated with artists in several songs like her smash track with PinkPantheress called "Boys A Liar Pt. 2," Ice Spice told the outlet that she's "excited to do more collaborations with different artists from different genres."
