Nicki Minaj is considered to be the biggest female rapper in the present, but despite her massive career and fame, the musician is not forgetting where she came from and all the people that helped her become the person she is today.

More recently, the "Marilyn Monroe" hitmaker spoke on her Apple Music radio show "Queen Radio" where she opened up and praised the person who became one of her biggest inspirations.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, the rapper credits Foxy Brown, saying "it's not a b**** walking planet f****** earth that is f****** with Foxy Brown," she said.

The musician later sang some of the lyrics from Brown's song titled "730" originally released in 2001.

Why Nicki Minaj Feels Inspired by Foxy Brown

This wasn't the first time Minaj gushed over one of her biggest idols as she discussed in a previous interview on why she considers the rapper as one of her inspirations.

She noted that there are times when both of them sound similar and it was because of her constantly listening to the legend.

In addition, the inspiration was fueled even more when the mom of one found out that both of them has Trinidadian blood.

"Finding out she was from Trinidad was so freaking amazing to me because I never imagined that a rapper could be from my country," she said.

Minaj also took the time to praise her idol by pointing out some of the things that made her inspired, saying Foxy Brown is good with her delivery and her lyrics are clear while rapping.

Nicki Minaj, Foxy Brown Interaction

The two have already met and performed on the same stage in the past, but it appears that their relationship as friends is still happening even behind closed doors.

Last year, Foxy Brown sent Nicki Minaj a heartwarming gift, a portrait of her son and Foxy's daughter Baby C which was painted by an artist named Kidane.

The "Boys" hitmaker shared a video on her official Instagram featuring the painting which shows the two babies with vinyl records as their background as the text behind them reads "Our Greatest Hits."

Aside from Foxy Brown, Minaj also credited  Lauryn Hill as one of her idols, but when it comes to those who "shaped" her overall style of rapping, the musician credited Lil Wayne and Jay-Z. (via Vibe)
