Britney Spears' friends fear she might go broke this year due to issues with her handling her own finances, a source revealed.

Multiple reports confirmed Spears and her estate lost millions since her conservatorship began, including Jamie Spears' multimillion earnings and fees to different law firms. Following the success of the Free Britney movement, she finally regained her control over her life and finances, but things are reportedly getting out of hand.

Britney Spears Struggling Due to Financial Troubles?

OK! Magazine received a tip from an unnamed source regarding Spears' lack of capacity to handle her finances since her conservatorship ended in November 2021. Per the insider, the "Toxic" singer might go bankrupt by the end of 2023 since she reportedly does not know anything about capital.

"The bills are pouring in and Britney's financial people are telling her if it carries on this way, she'll be broke by the end of the year, if not sooner," the source alleged. "She doesn't really understand how things work."

Spears' money issues were also seen when she suffered a hefty loss after selling her Calabasas home for a lower amount than she purchased it.

In addition, the "Oops!...I Did It Again" hitmaker is still processing her legal fees and child support payments without wanting to receive any help from anyone because it makes her feel what freedom is.

This, however, should be taken with a grain of salt as Spears has not addressed any issues surrounding her finances as of press time.

Spears' career led her to the top 10 highest-selling female musicians of all time list, having $100 million in eighth place and tying with Taylor Swift.

Madonna is at the top of the list with $335 million, with Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Barbra Steisand, and Rihanna following her. Pink and Adele completed the top 10, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

The same site estimated Britney Spears' net worth as of 2023 at around $70 million.

Despite her personal issues, Spears scored different milestones over the years, including being the best-selling female musician of the 2000s, the highest-paid female musician from 2002 to 2012, and a singer with a $500 million gross of world tours worldwide.

Before becoming a singer, Spears initially worked as a child actress and appeared in dozens of productions and TV shows, including the 1990s The Micky Mouse Club.
