As a fan threw a phone at Drake while on his opening show, Drake retaliated with a Childish Gambino diss.

The two have been feuding since 2014, and their feud seemed to reach a fever pitch after Drake's recent shots while on his "It's All A Blur" tour.

Drake, Childish Gambino Feud Timeline

While performing in Australia in 2014, Childish Gambino, formally known as Donald Glover, fired the first shot in his freestyle verse, not only hitting Drake but also Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q.

"I'm the best rapper, definitely Top 5," rapped Gambino. "I'll cut their head off. That's every rapper living. That's Kendrick. That's Drake. That's Schoolboy. That's everyone. I don't give a f**k. I'll f**king kill you n#####," he said at the time.

In that same year, Gambino talked to Hot97 and explained the real score of their friendship, which was revealed to be the opposite of his attacks.

"I don't hate Drake at all. I really like Drake, if not for no other reason than he makes me better. He really does, for real," he confirmed. Gambino also furthered that he knew that when he was coming into the scene, he knew that he would claw in to be there because the industry already has an "actor/singer/rapper guy who's black."

Elsewhere in the interview, he again took a jab and even doubled down on Drake's skills.

"I think he's a really good writer and rapper. Right now, I definitely think I'm better than him, but only because I'm working harder than him right now," he continued.

Notably, Drake has been silent about the feud as he does not respond to the shades and attacks that Gambino throws in the press.

'This is America' A Diss To Drake, 'Over-Awarded?'

Earlier this April 2023, Gambino told GQ Magazine that the Award-winning cultural piece "This is America," was supposedly a diss track made for Drake, but it later went on a different path and became one of the most-acclaimed rap pieces in recent memory.

"It started as a Drake diss, to be honest, as like a funny way of doing it," he said about the record.

Meanwhile, Drake had a playful time retaliating to that revelation. On his "It's All A Blur" Tour, a fan captured a Drake visual while he was fittingly performing "Headlines."

One of the headlines flashed was a dig to the same Gambino quote: "The overrated and over awarded hit song 'This Is America' was originally a Drake diss record."

This is the most recent, if not the only retaliation that Drake had against Gambino in a long time. Will Gambino fire back with a diss?
