Over the weekend, fans who were excited to see Noel Gallagher at one of his concerts in the United States were shocked after the scheduled performance was hit with a bomb threat. Today, the musician is finally addressing the issue on social media.

Taking to his official Twitter account, the former Oasis member released an official statement regarding the shocking incident which led to the cancelation of his show at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Saturday.

"Unfortunately, on the advice of local authorities Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds performance at Saratoga Performing Arts Centre did not go ahead on Saturday evening," he wrote.

The "Wonderwall" hitmaker explained that the decision was "taken out of an abundance of caution" in order to prioritize the safety of concertgoers and his staff.

Although last Saturday's show was canceled, Gallagher was thrilled to announce that his show at the Summer Stage in New York City's Central Park tonight will push through.

"We look forward to seeing fans there," he wrote.
