Carly Rae Jepsen left fans in awe after dropping "The Loneliest Time," which proved that she is not a one-hit-wonder with her 2012 song "Call Me Maybe," she has a lot more to prove and show.

According to reports, the singer took to social media to reveal that the follow-up album to "The Loneliest Time," which will be aptly called "The Loveliest Time" will soon be dropping.

"I got to know loneliness and discover the beauty in it," Jepsen said about the upcoming album. "The loneliest time taught me that growth comes from being planted in darkness.

"But now the world has opened itself back up again and in turn so have we. It's time for celebration and for all the lessons we have learned to burst into joyful action."

Carly Rae Jepsen's 'The Loveliest Time'

Since then, Jepsen has not really released many promotional pictures or teasers about the album, and apparently, it was for good reason too.

"It's been the loneliest time, it's been the loveliest time," the singer wrote in a new social media post in support of the album

"At this point you know me so well that I won't even tease about a b sides. It's almost disrespectful because you know that it's coming.

"And in fact this is the time to announce that it's here. It's done and a month from now 'The Loveliest Time' will be all yours. I can't really call it a b sides as if these were cast-off ideas - it's the completed set to a body of work that taught me so much about love and loneliness and myself."

"The Loveliest Time" will be out on Jul. 28 via 606/Schoolboy/Interscope Records.

Carly Rae Jepsen Juxtaposes Albums

Aside from being called a follow-up album, or a companion album, Jepsen notes that it is hard to compare the two; maybe the two albums are meant as complimentary albums.

According to reports, "The Loveliest Time" will boast 12 songs, including "Shy Boy," and several songs that were written while Jepsen was alone with her own thoughts.

The singer enlisted a group of talented collaborators to help her convey "The Loveliest Time," including Patrik Berger, Rostam Batmanglij, Kyle Shearer, John Hill, and more.

As of this writing, there are no other updates on the album, as Jepsen prefers to keep it that way, however, the wait is not long.
