After reaching his own personal "rock bottom," Liam Payne visited a wellness clinic in the US and seek treatment for his mental health.

Recently, the 29-year-old opened up about this experience and revealed that doctors diagnosed him with several conditions.

He took to Instagram Stories to open up about his turbulent day and expressed it was an emotional and difficult time and that those closest to him could tell he wasn't doing well.

Speaking candidly, the British singer described periods of "manic" behavior and his difficulty in staying sober during moments of deep sadness, according to the Daily Mail.

Before deciding what to do, Liam Payne revealed that for quite a while he had been filming the video, but kept deleting it.

His thought process was reflected on when he said, "I don't know whether this is the right time to share my story with fans."

He recalled how he said in his last video he revealed he been diagnosed with a "couple of conditions" and not to go into too much detail but one of them is that there's a lot of manic things in his life currently.

His words kept coming as he said that the thing he learned is that his sobriety and those moments of despair are two different things, and that they don't necessarily have to go hand in hand.

Liam went on to say he's glad he can now recognize them as separate entities.

"Luckily I have some amazing people around me that kind of look after me but I am sure they can see it in me too that I'm 'not here.'"

In June 2022, after appearing on Logan Paul's podcast, things had taken a turn for the worse for him.

In his "I'm Back..." video uploaded to YouTube on Saturday, Liam Payne apologized to everyone for taking out his rage on them and admitted that he had reached the lowest point in his life.

Liam expressed his gratitude to those who had given him a hand in his journey towards recovery.

First among them were Bear, his six-year-old son and Cheryl, Bear's mother, and his ex-girlfriend.

Reflecting on the podcast experience, Liam admitted he was "egotistical" in the recording and that it "wasn't easy to re-listen." However, it ultimately had a positive effect by prompting him to receive help.

The comments he made about One Direction during the podcast caused an uproar among his fanbase.

The formation of the group was centered around him, and they alleged his debut single outsold those of any other members. Though many fans disagreed with this point.

It seemed there were quite a few issues for him to have against Zayn, referring in particular to the altercation between the singer and Yolanda Hadid from last year.

Liam revealed that there was no love lost between him and Louis during their time in One Direction, saying he even endured being pushed into a wall by one of his peers.

Liam then apologized for his comments on the podcast, saying,

"I needed to take some time out for myself. I kind of became someone who I didn't recognize anymore."

"I was so angry at what was going on around me that instead of looking inwards, I decided to take it outwards on everybody else. It was wrong really, and my frustrations with my career. I want to apologize for that."
