Ever since "Hold Me Closer," Britney Spears has not released any song, which is why this new record with Will.i.am, is monumental for her return to music.

In an interview with CBS Mornings, Will.i.am talks highly and dearly of Spears, who he says he had been a fan of since.

Will.i.am Gushes Over Britney Spears

Speaking to the Morning Show, WIll.i.am only has good words for Britney Spears.

"I've been a fan, a friend and a supporter of Britney throughout the years," he said. "A supporter as far as a person who goes out and listens to her music, a supporter as far as somebody that's there to help champion her through her times when she was fighting for her liberation. She is an amazing person."

The new Britney Spears song "Mind Your Business" was originally slated for a Wednesday release but was eventually bumped to a Friday release.

Talking about Spears more, especially on her many dance videos on Instagram, Will.i.am had this to say:

"Music is therapy for lots of people. Dancing is therapy for lots of people. It helps you with anything that you're going through. I see that every time I see her dance on her Instagram. I light up, because I see how much she loves music," he furthered.

In the past, Spears had received worry and confusion from his fans from his rather worrying videos of herself dancing liberally, sometimes with less clothing, on Instagram.

But despite this, it seemed like Spears has not lost her star power as Will.i.am was still eager to work with the "Oops I Did It Again" singer.

"To collaborate with her now and then, when you're in the studio, when you're making music, that's the only thing that matters," will.i.am shared. "I see the same light, the same joy, the same love and passion."
