For Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, maintaining their marriage can reportedly be a difficult task.

Despite having been wed for two years, their fast-paced lifestyles are creating tension between them.

It appears that the famed couple is struggling to keep their flame burning strong.

It seemed like the couple could never get enough of each other - that was until recently according to a source who spoke to Star magazine (via OK magazine).

"It's as though, since Blake Shelton has finished his latest run on 'The Voice,' their lives no longer mesh in quite the same way," said the insider. "Before that, it was almost as though everything revolved around both of them being together every step of the way."

For the country superstar, his focus right now is the success of the "Barmageddon" series - which has been picked up for a second season on USA Network.

As for the "Hollaback Girl" singer, she continues her coaching duties on "The Voice" while also running her own cosmetics brand GXVE Beauty.

It's no secret that both of the Hollywood greats have seen immense success in their singing careers.

According to a source, however, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have had difficulty in their marriage recently.

"It's like there isn't much for them to talk about," said the source now that Blake has left his role as a coach on NBC's famous singing show.

Though they are both dedicated to their work, alleged conflicts in their marriage arise from their upbringing.

According to a source, Gwen struggles to be "southern" despite Blake's best efforts. "[She] can put on cowboy boots and sing a country duet with Blake," said the confidante, "but Gwen doesn't fit in [the southern lifestyle]." Despite being born and raised in California, she strives to make her marriage work.

As reported previously, Gwen Stefani worries that her relationship with Blake Shelton is not in a good place.

She doesn't know how to solve this problem since the couple used to have such an amazing connection, however, it appears Shelton is too preoccupied for them to rekindle it.

A source told OK magazine, "Their chemistry was through the roof when they first got together, yet maintaining a healthy relationship requires both parties to be present."

The dynamics in the relationship between Gwen and Blake have grown increasingly strained, to the point where even small gestures on the part of Shelton now set off a reaction from the former No Doubt singer.

An insider who has close knowledge of them revealed, "Gwen and Blake's habits, like when Blake tracks mud into the house or leaves a mess behind him, really seem to irk her. Not to mention his dietary choices - she's always trying to get him to make healthier food decisions."

Still, it's best to take this report with a grain of salt.
