This is not a drill! After over a year of not taking the stage for a performance, Sir Paul McCartney is back and he's heading down under for a tour! Check out all the details below.

According to Best Classic Bands, the Beatles member will go on his series of concerts titled "Got Back" and he will begin in Australia this October.

Fans of the music legend were the first ones to receive the big news through email and he later took to his official social media accounts to confirm the matter.

Days before the announcement, there have been rumors circulating around the internet about a possible tour from the iconic singer and it's finally confirmed.

For those who are interested in watching the musician perform live, tickets will be available for purchase starting this August 11, 2023, via Ticketmaster.

Why Did Paul McCartney Choose Australia for his Tour?

In the announcement, the musician noted that Australia has a special place in his heart especially in Adelaide as it was the same city where the Beatles made history in 1964.

At the time, it was the firs time they visited the country and there were a whopping 350,000 people who lined up around the streets in hopes of seeing the legendary band perform some of their biggest hits in person.

"These dates will see him return for his first live performances in Australia in six years. He was last in Australia in December 2017," the announcement reads.

Aside from his core memory, the musician made a lot of memories in the country throughout the years and his last trip was "so much fun."

"Each show was a party, so we know this is going to be incredibly special. Australia we are going to rock! I can't wait to see you," he added.

McCartney is expected to be accompanied by his band consisting of Paul Wickens AKA Wix for keyboards, Abe Laboriel Jr for drums, Brian Ray for bass and guitar, and Rusty Anderson for guitar.
