Though Angus Cloud knew the end was near, in his final few days, it seemed as though nothing could dampen his spirit.

The night before he passed away at his Oakland residence, he was seen reveling with family and friends at a joyous gathering.

At 11.30 AM, Lisa, the mother of Conor Angus Cloud Hickey contacted authorities regarding a "possible overdose," according to a report by TMZ.

Though the cause of his death is still uncertain, it came shortly after service in Ireland for his father, Conor Hickey Sr., who passed away last May.

Those closest to him remembered him as his "best friend".

On Friday night, MacArthur Maze, a rap group from the Bay Area, had their debut album launch event and Angus was spotted there. He came along with his close pal, Josh Kennedy who is also the band's photographer.

This has been surprising for many as it is rumored that Angus had been dealing with substance abuse issues. The music event was held near his family home in California.

Pictures taken by his friend depicted a smiling Angus wearing glasses and a hat with a patterned bandana.

Those close to him stated that he was present at the late-night gathering for "a few hours" but never revealed any signs of distress.

Commenting on everything, Josh told The Sun how they have known each other since they were kids.

"Ecstatic would be an understatement to describe his state of mind after returning home. We had been discussing his dad which had brought about a sense of sorrow, yet somehow, for the time being, it seemed as though all was well."

The photographer went on to say that from his perspective, it was hard to tell whether or not Angus had something to drink at the event.

On Friday, the rap group gathered for their record release celebration and were surprised to find actor, Joshua in attendance. According to D. Bledsoe of the group, it was revealed to The Sun that Joshua expressed his desire to direct a music video for them.

That night seemed just like every other ordinary evening, but then Angus made an appearance. He was in his element as photographers snapped away to capture him in all his glory and the professional video cameras documented him clowning around.

When the news reached him of Angus Cloud's death on Monday, his initial reaction was disbelief. "I feel sick," remarked Josh, "I'm just so sad. I had only just left work when I heard the news and now have no idea what happened."

"All that remained for him to do was to keep himself occupied in order to fend off any further feelings of despair."

On Monday evening, those closest to the actor convened at a location in Oakland near his house for a private memorial.

To ensure that the event occurred as planned, Josh had already contacted friends and relatives beforehand.

Expressing his sorrow, the spoke about how horrid it must be for Lisa, Angus' mother, who was already suffering from her husband's passing. Terrible was the only word to describe it, according to the photographer.
