Selena Gomez has not released a new album in years, which is probably why the stakes are higher for her because the anticipation and expectation is high.
These days, though, the "Rare" singer has been going out on dates with another personality who knows a thing or two about making certified bops, DJ Fred, reports say.
Gomez is not shy to flaunt the DJ slash music producer on her Instagram, too, is this some kind of soft launch to their relationship? No one knows for certain as of this writing.
However, some fans theorize that the singer and music producer is not going on romantic dates, but simply teasing that they have worked on music together.

According to reports, Gomez has been gearing up to release a new album, which is rumored to be released this month.
Twitter account Pop Tingz revealed that the new album would have the same vibes as Rihanna's iconic "Good Girl Gone Bad" album, describing it as "modern and with more dance and EDM influence."
Interestingly, DJ Fred knows a thing or two about the genres of dance and EDM, as he has worked with artists like Swedish Mafia House, Skrillex, and more.
Gomez has been hinting at new music for quite some time now. She shared a carousel of pictures of herself in a recording studio with Hunter Moreno, her creative director, beside her.
"Don't worry guys, it's coming. Even from Paris," she captioned the series of pictures.

Selena Gomez's Documentary, 'Only Murders in the Building,' More
The reason why the "Lose You to Love Me" singer has not been particularly active in the music scene is because of several projects that she has lined up.
She released her first documentary "My Mind & Me" last year, along with the accompanying single with the same title.
Aside from that, she has been busy filming for several shows as well, like "Only Murders in the Building" on Hulu, which is now awaiting the third season release. The series also stars Steve Martin and Martin Short alongside Gomez.
Gomez has also been filming "Selena + Chef," a television cooking show hosted by the singer on HBO Max. The show premiered back in 2020 and currently has four seasons under its belt.
On top of all of that, Gomez is also busy running her makeup brand Rare Beauty, which has made quite a name for itself in the beauty community.
Fans can definitely see why Gomez is a bit slow in making music, but they know it is coming soon, and it is only a matter of time before it gets released.
