Riley Keough reminisced about her childhood during her latest cover story for Vanity Fair.

This brought to mind the connections she has with Graceland, where Elvis and her mother, Lisa Marie, have been laid to rest, and which she now owns; and Neverland, the home of Michael Jackson, whom her mother once married.

On May 26, 1994, Lisa Marie Presley and Michael Jackson exchanged vows of matrimony at a ceremony held in the Dominican Republic. Following their marriage, they regularly retreated to Neverland Ranch just outside of Santa Barbara.

Riley recalled the influence of her stepdad Michael Jackson on her life. She fondly recollected that Neverland felt like home, unlike the tourist-filled Graceland. Furthermore, she noted that he was always a great stepfather figure to her.

On occasion, the "Daisy Jones and the Six" star noted that she and her family would spend the night at Graceland, lying low from the massive influx of tourists while security delivered breakfast.

However, these occasions were brief and lasted only a short time.

Reflecting on her youth, Riley shared her perspective.

"In hindsight, I can see how crazy these things would be to somebody from the outside."

She went on to say, "But when you're living in them, it's just your life and your family. You just remember the love, and I had real love for Michael."

Riley added, "I think he really got a kick out of being able to make people happy, in the most epic way possible, which I think he and my grandfather had in common."

The actress also has a unique view of her stepfather, Nicolas Cage.

Her biological dad is Danny Keough, and she has fond memories of him. She revealed how Danny really cared about her education.

Though Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley joined the Church of Scientology's Celebrity Center in Los Angeles after Elvis' death, it was not until 2014 that the entire family officially left. Even so, she emphasizes that they still maintain a spiritual lifestyle at home.

"I grew up with my dad reading tarot card books and metaphysics. He's very spiritual. I'm very spiritual."
