Tory Lanez was reportedly adjusting to life behind bars as a report emerged that he wanted to be secluded from the pack after receiving his sentence.

Formally known as Daystar Peterson, Tory Lanez will be at the Los Angeles County Jail until 2034.

Tory Lanez Jail Update

According to a TMZ report, Tory Lanez was reportedly "being held away" from the general population as he only "gets a few hours a day outside his cell."

It was quite an emotional rollercoaster for Tory Lanez who maintains his innocence despite his conviction and sentencing. His father, Sonstar Peterson, who initially blasted the presiding judge over his son's case, apologized during the sentencing trial.

Meanwhile, Tory Lanez also received substantial support from his peers, including rapper Iggy Azalea, whose letter of support trended online.

Per the outlet's law enforcement sources, Tory Lanez was being held in what they call an "administrative segregation unit," which was specifically for inmates who "cannot be safely housed with the rest" of the other inmates in jail.

As for getting out of his cell, Tory Lanez is only allowed to get it for 2 hours a day, all by himself. Receiving sunlight and fresh air was also limited as he was only given 3 hours each week.

The rather special treatment could be likely given that he is of substantial fame and popularity outside. That could change though, as this won't be the case for Tory Lanez in jail forever.

The outlet also reported that he would be transferred to an "intake center" before August 2023 ends. From there, as All HipHop puts it, authorities will then determine which prison he would serve the remainder of his sentence.

Tory Lanez Maintains Innocence Amid Conviction, Sentence

In an Instagram post after his sentence was laid out, Tory Lanez had this to say.

"I have never let a hard time intimidate me, I will never let no jail time eliminate me. Regardless of how they spin my words, I have always maintained my innocence and I always will," Lanez said in a statement.

At one point, he stood firm on his decisions and innocence: "In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I'm being wrongfully convicted of. I remain on the stance that I refuse to apologize for something I did not do."
