Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez's assault trial was by far the most high-profile and widely publicized trial in Hip Hop in the past few years.

Tory Lanez has since been sentenced to jail for 10 years after being proven guilty of assaulting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.

Megan Thee Stallion Full Statement During Tory Lanez Sentencing

Legal Affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff was the one who revealed the actual statement of the Grammy-winning rapper to the public. Notably, Megan did not appear publicly during the sentencing trial as she could not bring herself to the venue due to trauma.

"I struggled with being present today. I don't want my absence to be interpreted as anything other than the preservation of my mental well-being. after everything that occurred, I simply can't bring myself to be back in the same room with Tory once again," she started the letter.

Megan, once again, doubled down on the accusations against Tory Lanez, whom she has accused to have "viciously shot" her - since then, she has "not experienced a single day of peace."

"I have been tormented and terrorized to every degree by the defendant. He not only shot me, he made a mockery of my trauma. He tried to position himself as a victim and set out to destroy my character and my soul," she also added.

As Megan Thee Stallion came forward with the accusations, Tory Lanez, including his closest peers and his fans, have repeatedly mocked the female rapper, invalidating her emotions and publicly denouncing her statements as lies.

"He lied to anyone that would listen and paid bloggers to disseminate false information about the case on social media. He released music videos and songs to damage my character and continue his crusade. He treated my trauma like a joke when I could have died that day," Megan Thee Stallion continued to say.

After a high-profile legal battle in the 4th Quarter of 2022, including people from Def Jam Recordings, Tory Lanez's camp, Megan Thee Stallion's estranged best friend Kelsey Harris, and more, the trial was highly-sensational too in the headlines.

"Today I beg this court to send a message to every victim of violence and fully hold the defendant accountable for his criminal conduct. This is a statement for all survivors that their lives matter and there is zero tolerance for the torture that accompanies violence. His crime warrants the full weight of the law," Megan asked.

Tory Lanez has since been convicted of three felonies against Megan and has been sentenced to spend 10 years of prison. Check out the full letter here.
