It has been a hot minute since Olivia Rodrigo has released her Grammy Award-winning debut album "Sour"; the pressure and expectations to release a sophomore album as good-or if not, better is on.

"There were a good few months where I would sit at the piano and all I would think about was how I was never going to make something as good, or all the mean things that people on Twitter would say, or how I wasn't as good as ... whatever," the actress turned singer-songwriter admitted in her interview with The Guardian.

Despite being known to write and release music about her personal life and most especially her love life, Rodrigo admitted that there are still some parts that have been redacted from what she had initially intended to put out there.

"I've experienced a lot of emotional turmoil over having all these feelings of rage and dissatisfaction that I felt like I couldn't express, especially in my job," she said.

Olivia Rodrigo Gears Up For 'GUTS'

The reason why it took the "Drivers License" singer two years to release her sophomore album is mostly due to the immense pressure she has put on herself to write perfect songs and combine it with the perfect sound.

Rodrigo admitted that she experience anxiety and doubt leading up to the recording of the music, especially since she began working in a new studio.

"Like: 'Oh my God, we're spending thousands of dollars and I feel like I'm not writing anything good.'" Some days, she just went in and cried. She says this while smiling, but it sounds punishing. "It's the antithesis of creativity."

Despite what she might have thought initially about making music and the ones that were probably scrapped from "GUTS," fans are already loving what she has put out so far.
