Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were not the only ones who tried to save their failing marriage.

More details about Jonas and Turner's divorce have continued to emerge over the past few weeks since the singer submitted the documents for a dissolution of marriage to the court. According to reports, the estranged couple still tried to make things work, something the Jonas Brothers' family also did.

Jonas Family "Pulled for" Couple

Before Jonas filed for divorce, his family reportedly pulled for him and Turner to save their relationship.

A source exclusively informed Page Six about the development, noting that the attempt failed as their support could not help the estranged couple resolve their issues.

"It wasn't working anymore," the source said. "It happens. Joe has to do what he has to do, and the same goes for Soph. Only they know what's best for them and their family."

Despite their divorce, Jonas' family still has a love for the "Game of Thrones" actress and the two children, who are reportedly spending more time with the singer despite his busy schedule on the Jonas Brothers tour.

The buzz started on September 3 when news outlets revealed that the duo were heading for divorce. Two days later, the 34-year-old "Leave Before You Love Me" singer filed the divorce papers, saying their four-year union was "irretrievably broken."

Another source said the filing was Jonas' last resort despite not wanting to break their family. However, he realized it was the best move for their daughters as having an unhappy home "is not a home at all."

After he poured all his efforts, Jonas reportedly "reached a point where he felt that he had exhausted all options to salvage the marriage."

Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner Asked Everyone To Stop Speculations

Amid the proceedings, Jonas and Turner released a joint statement on September 6 asking the public to refrain from spreading baseless rumors about their divorce.

"There are many speculative narratives as to why, but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children," the estranged couple said.

Jonas also shared a similar statement during one of the Jonas Brothers' stops, telling the concertgoers not to believe anything that does not come straight from him.
