Social media could be a tough place not just for regular users, but especially for public figures because most of the time, they have to face countless trolls and haters on a daily basis.

More recently, Pink shuts down one hater who greeted her with a happy birthday as she told her fans that she wanted to teach her daughter a lesson.

Taking to her official X account (formerly known as Twitter), the "Just Give Me A Reason" songstress, whose real name is Alecia Moore, quote-retweeted a troll who greeted her on her special day with a photo of someone who was obviously not Pink.

In the caption, the singer started by thanking the troll before sharing that she showed her 12-year-old daughter, Willow, the photo.

She added, "I explained to her that I've never met you, I don't know you, and I have no idea why you would go out of your way to be hateful. It was a good lesson in ignorance."

The "So What" hitmaker didn't stop there as she continued, "I still don't know you. Congrats. You're no one."

Pink Says Online Trolls Are 'Lonely' and 'Miserable'

In a separate post, the singer re-posted a fan's thoughts who told her that trolls are "the worst."

Pink agreed and she noted that those types of people are "anonymous, lonely, and miserable."

Another important thing that Pink wanted to note was the photo that the hater used to greet her, as she told her followers that it was a "missed opportunity" because there were many pictures online that was actually her which was "worse than this picture."

In her last post regarding the issue, Pink explained that another reason why she wanted to react and post "these things" is because she wanted to show kids, including hers, that people are being treated badly occasionally.

"I show them because they know me, and they know that my self-esteem does not rely on the opinions of others," she added.
