Love is in the air! 10 years after they broke up, Nelly finally confirmed that he and his ex-girlfriend, Ashanti, are dating again. This comes after rumors that the pair reconciled over the past few months.
In an interview with Rasheeda and Kirk Frost, as posted by The Shade Room online, the singer confirmed that he and the singer reunited and it surprised the two of them.
"Yeah, we cool again... I think it surprised both of us though," he said. (via Page Six)

He added that the reconciliation wasn't anything and they didn't plan it at all. He further explained that one of the probable reasons why they made up was due to the time they spent apart.
"I think we both were pretty much doing what we do, but sometimes being separate you understand one another more," he added.
Nelly later noted that their relationship now is completely different than it was 10 years ago because at the time, there was pressure from the public and a lot of people were "in the middle of it" and it was tough for them.

The latest news comes after they sparked romance rumors after they attended an event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The rumors didn't stop as they were spotted the second time weeks later when both of them were present at Jon Schwartz's 40th birthday.

A source told the outlet that both of them were smiling at each other throughout the night and "they were super cute."
They later took to Instagram to share a heartwarming duet of Usher's "Nice & Slow." They also took the stage to perform "Body On Me" and fans said the chemistry was undeniable.

For those who grew up in the 2000s, you know very well that Nelly and Ashanti were one of the most famous couples in the music industry as they constantly collaborated with each other.
According to Complex, the duo started dating in 2003, but they were on and off throughout the years of their romance. There was also a point when it was reported that a possible engagement could happen in the near future at the time.
However, they split in 2013 and Ashanti said she felt betrayed by her ex-partner. They later reconciled during Fat Joe and Ja Rule Verzuz in 2021 and the singer said in an interview she was in a better place with Nelly.
