All eyes were on Taylor Swift when she attended the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, where she won numerous awards throughout the evening.
However, there was one moment that stood out to all fans online as the mega superstar appeared to have lost her accessory worth thousands of dollars.
According to Insider, the "Out of the Woods" hitmaker sported several luxurious accessories from Van Cleef & Arpels. Joseph Saidian & Sons estimated that the big 18-karat yellow gold ring detailed with onyx and diamond that the singer wore to the event is priced at $12,000.

At one point when she was at the audience area, as posted by fans online, the ring appeared to be dislodged and lost the stone which was the highlight of the ring.
She was later seen holding the ring without the stone in the middle of it. There were also moments when the singer bended down to check the floor as she wanted to find it immediately.
Later that evening, when she accepted the award for the song "Anti-Hero," which won video of the year, she was no longer wearing the ring.
As of this writing, it's unsure if she found the precious stone.

As always, Taylor Swift took the internet by storm as fans were surprised that she was one of the attendees.
On the pink carpet, the singer dazzled everyone with her outfit as many pointed out that she embodied her "Reputation" era.

Per the outlet, the "Bejeweled" singer wore an open-back black asymmetric Versace gown with a high slit detailed with gold buttons.

According to Rolling Stone, the singer made history at this year's MTV VMAs as she was the most nominated artist of the evening with over 11 nominations.
After the ceremony, Swift now officially holds 23 VMAs which puts Madonna behind her with 20 awards.
She was also the first artist ever to win the coveted "Video of the Year" award three times.
"This is... I just want to say that the fact that this is a fan-voted award means so much to me based on the memories that we've made recently," she said in her acceptance speech.
