Britney Spears' friends are said to be worried about her move in dating her housekeeper, Paul Richard Soliz, as they think he is "not good for her."

Spears, whose estranged husband Sam Asghari filed for divorce after over a year of marriage, has been linked to her housekeeper over the past few weeks. Initial reports alleged she cheated on her husband with Soliz, though they only surfaced following the divorce filing.

Amid her rumored romance, sources expressed how worried the singer's friends are because of her recent choices.

Britney Spears' Friends Disapprove of "Criminal" Paul Richard Soliz

A source recently confirmed that Spears' relationship with Soliz did not overlap her marriage to Asghari, slamming the buzz about her marriage to Asghari ending because of her alleged infidelity.

This mirrored another insider's statement to Daily Mail, claiming Spears and Soliz started dating after calling it quits with the Iranian-American model.

Still, her friends are not happy about her new relationship as they think Soliz "is not good" for her.

A separate source told ET Online that the "Toxic" singer's friends do not support her newfound love.

"[Britney Spears] likes him because he makes her feel like he is acting as her protector and she finds comfort in that, especially as she moves through her split from Sam," the insider said.

Their disapproval is rooted in Soliz's criminal history following his previous convictions.

In 2004, the housekeeper was arrested and convicted for possession of methamphetamine and for planning to sell it. He was sentenced to four years in state prison before he faced another legal issue for "disturbing the peace" via "offensive words."

The latter charges led him to spend two days in a Los Angeles County Jail and receive probation and mandatory supervision that lasted for 36 months.

Britney Spears is NOT Dating Paul Richard Soliz?

Amid the dating rumors, a new report claimed Spears cut off communications with Soliz and debunked the buzz they were a couple.

Per Daily Mail, the 41-year-old singer only "hooked up" with Soliz twice after Asghari filed for divorce. Their relationship did not progress as soon as she learned about his criminal past, leading her to cut ties with him.
