Twitter had been especially cruel to Ariana Grande during the whole divorce and alleged cheating scandal. She was being called a "homewrecker" for allegedly cheating on her estranged husband Dalton Gomez for Ethan Slater.
Now that Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez have filed for divorce, new details of their separation and split have emerged.
Ariana Grande, Dalton Gomez Divorce
On Sep. 18, 2023, Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez simultaneously filed for divorce in Los Angeles, California, ending their two-year marriage.
According to TMZ, Grande and Gomez cited "irreconcilable difference" as the reason for their divorce. It was described to be a "clearly coordinated effort" between the two parties and everything was settled before heading to the courthouse.
The outlet revealed that there was also no acrimony between the two and sources have revealed that the reason why it took time from separation to divorce was because both of their teams are taking time to iron out the details of their divorce.
"They've been really caring and respectful of one another every step of this process," the source added.
TMZ also confirmed that Grande dated Slater after splitting up with Dalton Gomez. However, up until now, it wasn't revealed whether Slater and Grande dated while the former was still together with his wife, Lilly Jay, whom he shares a child with.
The outlet also noted that the separation between Grande and Gomez took place in February 2023.

Ariana Grande Not A 'Homewrecker'?
As soon as the news of the divorce and the clarification was shared online, people seemed to be retracting their egging of Grande for her alleged homewrecking behavior.

"SHE BEAT THOSE HOMEWRECKER ALLEGATIONS," a fan celebrated.
However, some are still standing their ground.
"this still isn't an excuse for getting with him when he was working things out with his ex and the man has a baby. this is just sabotage :( i love Ariana's music but this looks bad," someone said.
"Okay and was he still married or not ? Cause that doesn't automatically make them innocent," another tweeted.
"But he was fully married no one was mad at her for wrecking her home it was HIS," one user pointed out.
