Victoria Beckham almost "lied" about her upbringing, however, her husband soccer superstar David Beckham popped in to make sure there was no confusion or any question about it.

The bantering between the love birds was shown in a short clip from the couple's upcoming Netflix documentary series titled "Beckham" which was shared on social media.

"We're very working, working class," the former Spice Girls singer said during her solo interview for the upcoming series.

"Be honest!" David interrupted, with his head poking from a door, to which Beckham replied, "I am being honest!"

"What car did your dad drive you to school in?" He then asked. When she tried to reply, he rebuked her answer and said, "No. One answer. What car was it?"

Eventually, after being relentlessly asked, Beckham admitted, "Okay, in the 80s, my dad had a Rolls-Royce."

"Thank you," the soccer player said before leaving and closing the door behind him.

Victoria Beckham Criticized by Netizens

Netizens did not find Beckham's statement about being brought up in a "very working class" family amusing in the slightest.

"Rich people pretending to be working class is pretty terrible behaviour," one wrote.

"Why do rich people love to pretend they went from rags to riches?"

Some netizens even pointed out that the fact the singer turned fashion designer even noted that her father had a car was already a "sign she was lying."

"Majority of working-class kids had to walk lmao. No drop-off, no bus. Just your two feet & a route," they explained.

"I thought she was gonna say a Benz or something. A ROLLS is crazy, Victoria please!"

"A woman squirming and being evasive about something where she's caught dead to rights on a lie related to her self-image shouldn't be surprising but the level of brazenness still is."

According to reports, Beckham's father was an electronics engineer.

Victoria, David Beckham's Netflix Docuseries

Unlike his wife, David had a more humble start in his life. This will be more highlighted in the upcoming Netflix series, along with his lifestyle with his wife and kids.

The director, Fisher Stevens, had this to say: "He wasn't what I expected at all. He was so open. He's like, I'm ready. I want to tell my story before someone else does. And then I started doing research and I was like, 'Jesus, this guy's life is nuts. Nuts.' I had no idea. And then when I met with him and Victoria, I was like, oh my God, they're going to be fun. They're going to be good. They're going to be fun and they're going to be difficult and it's going to be great."
