When Jada Pinkett-Smith confirmed that she'd strayed in her marriage to Will Smith by having an intimate encounter with August Alsina, a friend of their son Jaden, it put the final nail in the coffin.

A source close to the situation noted this could not be taken back.

In June 2020, Jada admitted on her show "The Red Table Talk" that she had been involved in an "entanglement" with the 31-year-old singer.

This only came to light after August released details about being in love with the 52-year-old actress, who was married then to the "Men In Black" actor

Surprisingly, it was only this week that Jada announced that she had been "separated" from Will since 2016. Sources now claim that Will's supportive behavior at the news of her affair was purely a facade.

The source close to the couple revealed to Daily Mail that Jada had effectively ended her marriage when she subjected Will to a public shaming on "The Red Table Talk."

At first, Will reportedly could not accept that Jada had cheated on him; he staunchly protected his wife's dignity even though they were secretly separated.

Their children have supposedly significantly suffered from this situation, becoming "extremely fragile" as a result.

The source explained that during their marriage, Will would fiercely argue with anyone who voiced suspicion about Jada's loyalty.

Despite the circumstances, Will was convinced that his wife had not been unfaithful.

Jada reportedly seemed to understand the gravity of this sentiment, an inside source divulged.

At the same time, Jada shared with her followers that she and Will were struggling through a trying period and had essentially separated for a while.

Jada said, "I was in a lot of pain and very broken. In the process of that relationship, I realized that you can't find happiness outside yourself."

"I just wanted to feel good; it had been so long since I felt good... and it was a joy just to help heal somebody."

August's accusation that Will had "given him his blessing" to be with his wife was quickly dismissed by Jada, who then demonstrated her and Will's unity. The couple then proclaimed: "We ride together. We die together," indicating their agreement to keep any potential separation quiet and private.

Will Smith's dissatisfaction with Jada Pinkett-Smith was not limited to just one instance.

In a recent interview in which she discussed her book "Worthy," Jada Pinkett Smith mentioned believing the Oscars incident involving Chris Rock was merely a "skit."

The same insider shared that Jada's opinion on the slap Will delivered to Chris didn't help repair their "fractured" relationship.

According to the source, "[Will] is trying to move on from this incident," yet due to what Jada said, it has done no good for their situation.

For over 20 years, since their marriage in 1997, Jada Pinkett and Will Smith have been a long-term couple.

Sources say their two children, Willow and Jaden, have significantly been impacted by the stress of the situation, to the point that they've begun exhibiting behavioral issues.
