Troye Sivan just released his new album "Something to Give Each Other" and he revealed in a recent interview that one of his biggest inspirations for the latest project was Janet Jackson as she made a lasting impact on him since he was a young boy; what happened?

The musician recently spoke with the the "Pop Shop Podcast" where he gave fans an insight into how his latest record came to be as well as share some of the people he looked up to over the years.

Elsewhere in the conversation, the Australian singer shared that he loves to talk about Janet Jackson all the time because he considers her as an important person in his life.

"I saw her show at the Hollywood Bowl really early on in the process. And, to me, it took me right back to when was I was like, however old I was, I was probably like 7... hearing 'Together Again' for the first time," he explained.

He further noted that the melody and chords of the song "literally changed the trajectory of my life," not just in his personal well-being, but also his career as a songwriter and musician.

"That's something that I was really really striving for [on the new album]. I wanted something warm," he further added. (via Billboard)

Is Troye Sivan Going on Tour For 'Something to Give Each Other' Era?

Since he just released a new album, fans from all over the world are expecting for the musician to launch a series of concerts in the next few months.

However, it seems like Troye Sivan is taking his time as he noted in the interview that there are no concrete plans yet.

Despite him not having plans to go on tour yet, he revealed that he feels intimidated because when the time comes and he's ready to announce the concerts, he wanted it to be the "tour of my life," so he needed to figure things out first.

Troye Sivan Opens Up About Songwriting Process For 'Something to Give Each Other'

In a previous interview with People Magazine about his latest musical project, the singer shared the songwriting process of all of the ten songs that were included in the official tracklist of the album.

The outlet noted that most of the songs revolve around the topic of the musician's life as well as exploring his sexuality after the last relationship he had with his former partner ended.

Speaking of his musical project, the singer said: "I can look back on my life in these albums almost as journals from a specific time period, and this album is reflective of where I've been for the last couple years."

Elsewhere in the interview, he revealed that this new music era of his is more relaxing than his previous ones: "Blue Neighbourhood" and "Bloom," because it's his third time doing it.
