Jay-Z might be one of the most successful musicians in the hip-hop industry with over a billion dollars worth of fortune, but regardless of his status in the scene, his eldest daughter with Beyoncé, Blue Ivy Carter, doesn't think he's a cool father; why is that?

The "Empire State of Mind" hitmaker recently sat down in a multi-part interview with Gayle King to took about his Book of Hov exhibit at the Brooklyn Public Library in New York City.

During their conversation, the rapper told the morning show host that his daughter used to question his level of coolness.

"Blue, she be frontin' on me a little bit... But I catch her. I catch her in the corner, you know? Now she asks me, you know, if this is cool, if her sneakers [are cool]. She's come back," he told King. (via Billboard)

He added that there was one moment where Blue Ivy called him like "Daaaad," then he added: "I'm like, 'I'm cool. I don't know what you sayin. At your house, your parents is cool.'"

Blue Ivy Success At An Early Age

Blue Ivy is the oldest child of Beyoncé and Jay-Z. They also have twins together named Rumi and Sir.

At a very young age, Blue Ivy has already secured her spot in the entertainment industry as she's already a Grammy winner.

In addition, she appeared in a handful of concerts along with her mom Beyoncé for her "Renaissance World Tour" where she danced the choreography for the song "My Power."

Blue Ivy has overcome her stage fright as she would outshine her self in each show she attends to, to the point that she's being praised by countless fans online and in person.

In addition, it appears that her mom's good pal, Kelly Rowland, is also a big fan of hers as she mentioned in a previous interview: "I'm very proud. She works very freaking hard, period."

The Destiny's Child member added that the reason why Blue Ivy is hard working is because of the influence of her famous parents.

"She sees her mother in action and she sees her father in action and how they apply everything, hard work to everything that they do," she said. (via Daily Mail UK)
