Days after Sabrina Carpenter dropped the music video for her newest single "Feather," she caught the attention of not only netizens but the Catholic Church as well.

In one of the scenes in the music video, the "Nonsense" singer was seen strutting and dancing around in a church, which was later revealed to be a church in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

According to the Catholic News Agency, Brooklyn Bishop Robert Brennan "is appalled at what was filmed at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Brooklyn.

"The parish did not follow diocesan policy regarding the filming on Church property, which includes a review of the scenes and script."

The statement of the Diocese of Brooklyn claims that the singer's production team "failed to accurately represent the video content."

They also noted that they will be "taking this matter seriously and will be looking into it further."

Sabrina Carpenter's 'Feather' Music Video

Carpenter's newly released music video was dropped just in time for the Halloween season, which is probably why the themes depicted in it were somewhat gory and had a "Final Destination"-esque vibe.

According to reports, the "Vicious" singer was dancing and singing around the church wearing a black tulle baby dress along with high heels and a veil.

Behind her was a row of paste-colored coffins, alluding to all the men who died "fighting for her" during the other scenes of the music video.

While the criticisms about the music video had not come about, Carpenter gushed about the warm reception "Feather" received online.

"1 million views in less than 24 hrs [sic] ooooo dear. Thank you all so much. Tell me ya favorite part of the video!"

"Sabrina Carpenter angering the Catholic Church.... main pop girl behavior I must say."

"Sabrina Carpenter potentially getting sued for being hot in a church, 2023 is wild and real pop stars are back."

"'Feather' music video announced, feather music video dropped, Sabrina ends Mazzy, 'Feather' mv hits 2mil in less than 24 hrs and Sabrina Carpenter is getting sued by a church ALL IN THE SPACE OF 4 DAYS IJBOL."

Other singers have also been accused of being Satanists before, like Lady Gaga when she dropped the "Alejandro" music video.
