Dua Lipa is making big money moves ahead of the release of her next album as she bought back the rights to her publishing catalog from TAP Music.

"We wish Dua all the best for the future," wrote Anna Neville, the co-president of TAP Music, in a statement. "This is an exciting time for our publishing company - we are expanding our services and teams globally and continue to add talented writers and artists to our already stellar roster."

Lipa is gearing up for the release of new music "Houdini," months after the release of "Dance the Night Away," her chart-topping hit song from the "Barbie" movie official soundtrack.

Lately, the singer has been focusing more on expanding her acting career as she had a cameo role in the "Barbie" movie and was revealed to star in the upcoming movie "Agrylle" alongside Henry Cavill, which will be directed by Matthew Vaughn.

Dua Lipa Net Worth

According to reports, the "Don't Start Now" singer has a net worth of $35 million, which comes mostly from her music sales, streaming revenue as well as several endorsements and modeling gigs here and there.

Her last tour, the "Future Nostalgia" tour raked in about $40 million at the box office.

Since "Future Nostalgia" though, Lipa has not worked around releasing a full-length studio album to follow it up.

She has, however, revealed her future plans for her upcoming release, and has been teasing it for several months now.

Dua Lipa New Music

Perhaps the new business slash music move to buy back her publishing rights is in preparation for the next chapter of her career.

"If I told you the title, everything would make sense - but I think we'll just have to wait," Lipa said about the upcoming album.

In a different interview, the "Levitating" singer had this to say: "It's taken a complete turn as I've carried on working, and I really feel now that it's starting to sound cohesive.

"So I'm going to keep writing in the early months of the new year and see where that takes me. The album is different - it's still pop but it's different sonically, and there's more of a lyrical theme."

So while she is yet to unveil the title of her upcoming album, it seems like Lipa is ready for a new era, and is already testing out the waters with "Houdini."
