In what looks to be a major shift next year, many of the nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards are set to be dominated by women artists. SZA, Phoebe Bridgers, Victoria Monét, and Taylor Swift lead the way.

SZA stands out with nine impressive nominations for her album "SOS" and its associated songs spanning pop, rap, and R&B genres.

Victoria Monét stands alongside top contenders like Billie Eilish, boygenius, Jon Batiste, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift in the competition for a record of the year.

With seven nominations each, Phoebe Bridgers and mixing engineer Serban Ghenea also share this honor. Apart from being nominated in this category and best new artist with names including Ice Spice and Jelly Roll, Victoria's star continues to rise.

In 2022, the Grammy Awards saw a solid showing of female talent in the song and record of the year categories, with only one male nominee - Batiste. This artist went on to triumphantly win five critical awards during the ceremony.

Grammy's glory could be in Taylor Swift's sights this year, with six nominations and a potential win for album of the year, making her the first artist ever to earn four victories in that category.

However, 17-year-old newcomer Olivia Rodrigo, not to be outdone, has already won three Grammy awards. She's up for an additional six nods for her record "GUTS" and the song "Vampire."

Making a remarkable impression, "Barbie" the OST has been nominated for awards with songs from top artists such as Billie Eilish, Nicki Minaj, and Dua Lipa.

Four out of five nominees for best music from visual media are taken from this soundtrack.
