Cardi B's antics on social media has always caused confusion, bewilderment, and some sort of polarizing reaction from people.

Very recently, Cardi B hopped on Instagram Live and started addressing some fans' questions, particularly about a hiatus she or she might not be doing.

Cardi B Hiatus Happening?

As the rumor mill went wild, Cardi B clarified on Twitter/X if she will actually be going on a hiatus.

"I never said I was taking a hiatus... I'm just continuing with my social media break like I have been for the last few weeks.. not sure why that's causing such a ruckus. BG ya know where to catch me!" she tweeted Nov. 17, 2023.

This is because when Cardi was in her Instagram Live, she had her fans making some bold assumptions.

She told them that they might not see her for a "long time" as she is "just not in the mood to be famous." (via Hot New HipHop)

"If y'all wanna see me y'all go to Arizona to the Tik Tok concert. Other than that I've been liking my low key life," she added.

The "hiatus" came after one of her comeback songs and collaborations, "Bongos," seemed to perform commercially poorly despite the $2 million budget on the music video.

The track did not even land on the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10, despite the super-power collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion. Both artists are expecting a huge fanfare and debut like WAP" had - sadly, they didn't achieve it.

Cardi B Hiatus Are What People Wanted?

Over on Twitter/X, people became candid with their response on Cardi's supposed hiatus.

"Nobody announces a hiatus. She's craving sympathy attention and for people to say "nooo don't leave" but everyone wants her to," a user pointed out.

"Her last album was 6 years ago...she's been on a hiatus since," another commented. True enough, Cardi released "Invasion of Privacy" in 2016. Her sophomore album hasn't been released since, she says it would be due shortly soon.

"We never getting that second album. She had so many chances to release it and she missed the opportunity. Now she's scared she might fail." someone theorized.

Earlier this August 2023, Cardi hyped her fans with the idea that she's working on an album.

"I'm not going to release any more collaborations, I'm going to put out my next solo single," she shared on Twitter. "Right now I'm working on the cover art and ideas for the next record because it's definitely coming up."

However, she contradicted herself and released "Bongos" with Megan Thee Stallion.
