It may be safe to say that Blink-182 has hit "legendary" status in their genre of pop-punk, because 5 Seconds of Summer recently covered the band's "I Miss You" at BBC 1's Live Lounge.

Okay, maybe that's not the only reason the band is legendary in our minds, but to the younger crowds, it's a pretty good sign.

The Australian band recently performed a stripped down version of the tune over at BBC 1, which was off of Blink's self-titled 2003 album. The group took to the performance with nothing but a couple of acoustic guitars, a bass and a drum.

Despite the nearly 400,000 views of (many of which garnered a "thumbs up"), the comments to the video have been largely negative, with posters calling the performance "horrendous" and claiming the group "butchered" one of Blink-182's most beloved songs.

But, of course, there was one guy who admitted to have liked both versions. Whether or not he's been ripped apart by haters remains to be seen.

Once again, YouTube commenters prove to be the toughest crowd around. But in their defense, they may have a point here. Let us know what you thought of the band's cover below.
