The iconic lion claw necklace, a cherished piece by Elvis Presley, is poised to make its way to the auction block.

Known as the "Holy Grail" of Elvis memorabilia, the diamond and ruby-studded jewelry has been a focal point at the Elvis Presley Museum and is now set for auction at the Gotta Have Rock and Roll online auction, running from November 22 through December 15, according to a report by the Daily Mail.

With its illustrious history, the late King of Rock & Roll often adorned the gold necklace during his later years, both on and off the stage, as evident in a famous photo commemorating his daughter Lisa Marie's 5th birthday alongside Priscilla.

This piece was displayed proudly at the auction and appeared during Elvis's post-Priscilla relationship with Linda Thompson.

Elvis Presley's 'Lion Claw' Necklace

Experts speculate that the iconic necklace could fetch a staggering $1 million or more, per the NY Post, considering its historical significance and association with the legendary musician.

A notable image captures Elvis sporting the lion claw necklace while meeting the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali during the fighter's prime.

Before heading to the auction, the necklace made its way from the Elvis Presley Museum to the hands of Jimmy Velvet, known as "The Godfather of memorabilia," who described the Elvis Lion Claw as the most iconic piece of jewelry ever worn by Elvis.

The rock legend reportedly wore it during 30 concerts, emphasizing its prominence in his later years.

Other Elvis Memorabilia

This auction follows the sale of another bejeweled lion's head pendant that Elvis wore during his 1970 White House meeting with President Nixon, fetching $82,500 in 2014.

The charm, designed by Elvis in 1969, surpassed the value of a maroon-and-silver 1977 Cadillac Seville, the final car Elvis purchased for personal use, which sold for $81,250.

In a related context, Priscilla Presley, Elvis's ex-wife, recently received the Legacy Award at the Victoria's Voice Foundation gala, dedicated to combating the opioid overdose crisis.

Honored during the event held on November 11 in Palm Island, Florida, Priscilla acknowledged the impact of drugs on families and expressed her commitment to advocacy. Attending the gala with her son Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, Priscilla shared the award and saluted the foundation's efforts in turning a painful loss into a force for good.
