Troye Sivan Finalist at Australian Music Prize 2023

According to reports, the Australian Music Prize is an annual award ceremony that celebrates the homegrown talent in Australia; winners of the award enjoy big cash prizes.

Fellow nominee, Cloher, expressed their thoughts regarding the nomination: "To be honest it's the only music award that I take seriously on this continent.

"So many people - in fact, 25 musicians and engineers worked together to make this album, a true collaboration between my homelands Aotearoa and so-called Australia. This nomination is for the community that holds me including my bloodlines before me."

Sivan is receiving much recognition and acclaim for his third studio album, which was released on Oct. 13, 2023.

The album produced three chart-topping singles "Rush," "Got Me Started," and "One of Your Girls."

"This album is my something to give you - a kiss on a dancefloor, a date turned into a weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer. Party after party, after party after after party. Heartbreak, freedom. Community, sisterhood, friendship. All that," the singer wrote about "Something to Give Each Other."
