Jamie Foxx opened up about his health scare in his first Hollywood appearance months after his hospitalization.

On Monday, December 4, Foxx received the Vanguard Award for his performance in "The Burial" at the Critics Choice Association's Celebration of Cinema & Television: Honoring Black, Latino and AAPI Achievements in Los Angeles, Calif. In his acceptance speech, the 55-year-old singer and actor did his best to contain his tears while looking back at his health bout.

Jamie Foxx Shares What Happened to Him

While taking over the stage, Foxx reflected on his medical emergency that happened in April and dropped a hint on the symptoms he suffered from.

"I want to thank everybody. I've been through something. I've been through some things," he said. "It's crazy, I couldn't do that six months ago. I couldn't actually walk too... I wouldn't wish what I went through on my worst enemy, because it's tough when you almost... When it's almost over, when you see the tunnel."

He quipped that he only saw the tunnel and not the light.

Foxx also turned the rumors that he had been cloned into a joke, telling the audience members he was real.

He ended his speech by thanking his "The Burial" team and everyone who helped him to survive what happened six months ago.

Jamie Foxx Bombarded With Rumors

Due to the lack of details, Foxx sparked different rumors that targeted his health.

Apart from the clone buzz, the public assumed he suffered a stroke or cancer after he was spotted receiving treatment at a top physical medicine and rehabilitation center in Chicago.

The facility offers services like cancer rehabilitation, stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.

Photos showed his family - Foxx's daughters, Corinne and Anelise, and the latter's mother, Kristin Grannis - went together in Chicago over the weekend to accompany the singer-actor during his continued treatment.

Internet users also suggested he probably sustained an injury because he showed no signs of having cancer.

The "Fall For Your Type" crooner's daughter debunked another rumor ignited by a Daily Loud report which claimed that Foxx's family was reportedly "preparing for the worst." She shared a screenshot of the article alongside the caption: "Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild."
