It appears that Mariah Carey may be single once more.

The renowned singer, also known as the "Queen of Christmas," recently mentioned a problematic period, leading to speculation that her relationship with Bryan Tanaka has ended in whispers.

Mariah Confesses

In an interview with People magazine, Mariah said, "I've been looking forward to this Christmas for, like, the whole year. Since last year - because last year wasn't the greatest."

"I'm thankful for them all, but it wasn't my most fun version of Christmas ever."

The "Through the Rain" singer promised to have a good time during the 2023 holiday season "come hell or high water." She didn't go into details on her obscure remarks, yet she firmly stood by her resolve.

Fans Question The Real Status

Rumors have swelled since last month that Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka's relationship had ended after seven years.

This further fueled speculation due to the absence of Tanaka at the opening of the singer's "Merry Christmas One and All!" tour on November 15.

On the first night of her joyful holiday show, the pop diva appeared depressed. "She doesn't seem like she wants to be performing," one spectator wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Another fan suggested, "It looks as though something is amiss. Maybe she's amid a break-up?"

The fan replied, "Exactly what I was thinking."

The lack of Bryan Tanaka at Mariah Carey's concert also made fans wonder what happened.

"Where is he?" one social media user inquired.

Speculation began to circulate, "Streets saying Bryan wasn't at the show last night and Mariah was looking sad- are they done?" another tweeted.

The History

Since the start of December 2022, Mariah Carey's boyfriend - originally one of her backup dancers - has been absent from her Instagram feed.

This was last seen in a post containing an image of the duo enjoying quality time after Christmas. As for Bryan, he has not used the app since June.

It was in 2016 that Mariah Carey and Bryan first got together following the collapse of her engagement to James Packer, an Australian business magnate.

In 2017, Mariah and Bryan briefly broke their relationship before reconciling shortly after. Before Bryan, she was married to music executive Tommy Mottola from 1993 to 1998, followed by Nick Cannon - the father of her 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe - until 2016.
