The last time Nicki Minaj appeared on a track with Kanye West, everybody collectively agreed that she devoured Kanye on his own track. Nicki Minaj's "Monster" verse was her introduction to the world.

Her verse remains one of the most iconic and most popular rap verses in history with many people, even celebrities like Adele and Lizzo memorizing it word-per-word.

Since then, fans have hounded West and Minaj to return for a collaboration. In 2019, it was teased that a song called "New Body" would be released, that included a contribution from Ty Dolla Sign.

However, Kanye pulled the plug on the said track and it has since never seen the light of day. Now, West is releasing an album with Ty Dolla Sign, and based on the announced tracklist, "New Body" will be there.

What Happened To Kanye West, Nicki Minaj 'New Body'?

According to Hot New HipHop, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj's "New Body" was supposed to appear on the former's unreleased album, "Yandhi," a collaborative album with Ty Dolla Sign.

However, Kanye had a change of heart and reworked the album to "Jesus is King." But the publication noted that "creative differences" between Minaj and West arose and the song was left in the vault since.

In 2020, Ty Dolla Sign rapped on his song "Status" that Kanye West refused to release the song because it was "generic s**"

Speaking to Hot 106 in February 2022, Minaj explained what happened to the track. (via Complex)

"Let me tell you something about that...I respect everybody and where they are in life, where they are spiritually. The public adored 'New Body.' Like, 'New Body' is the biggest hit record that never came out. So what I thought was interesting was that Kanye made me write my 'New Body' verse four times over in order to fit into where he was creatively and spiritually in his life, right, only to then go on the internet a few months later to see him on Drink Champs."

Meanwhile in 2023, the music video of Kanye West, Nicki Minaj's "New Body" surfaced online but it was taken down immediately.
