It has been two years since Billie Eilish released her highly successful sophomore album, "Happier Than Ever," and it seems like she has returned to the recording studio to work on new material.

"Finneas describes their next album as '85 percent done,'" read Mr. Porter's feature article on the singer's brother and music producer.

Elsewhere in the article, Finneas also noted Eilish's writer's block and how they navigated through it, making sure that the quality of the music would still remain.

"I don't think Billie was particularly sure about how she actually felt about the things we were trying to write about," Finneas told Mr Porter. "Making a thing that you feel really connected to - it can really evade you."

Billie Eilish Gears Up For Upcoming Release

Despite suffering from writer's block, the "Ocean Eyes" singer gushed about making new music in an interview with Vanity Fair last November.

"We see each other all the time, and also now, we're starting to make music again," she said. "We just started the process of making an album, which is really exciting."

Before her confirmation of releasing a new album, Eilish also revealed that she and Finneas have been working on "lots of new music" in September.

"There is a whole album of music coming. We're in the final stages of making it, so that doesn't mean it's about to come out, but it is getting there and it's very exciting."

While neither sibling slash collaborators have spilled the beans on what the album's sound will turn out or when it will be released, fans are hoping that it will come in 2024.

"Billie, Ariana, AND SZA dropping next year? the music industry is healing."

"Cannot wait to hear it."

"Hopefully the music is done and all he's talking about are the visuals, promo, album cover, and that s** ain't done."
