All seven members of BTS are busy with their time serving in South Korea's military camps, however, it will not stop them-specifically, Jimin-from gifting their fans a new release.

According to reports, the KPOP idol dropped a new single titled "Closer Than This" shortly after he began his mandatory military enlistment.

"As we approach the final days of 2023, we hope that 'Closer Than This,' with its lyrics conveying Jimin's love and affection for his fans, will bring you hope and warmth," read a press release from BTS' label BigHit Music.

The release also noted that the newly released song is a "heartfelt fan song that encapsulates Jimin's genuine feelings for ARMY."

BTS Goes on Hiatus Until 2025

Three of BTS' eldest members, Jin, J-Hope, and Suga began their military enlistment months before the remaining four-RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook started theirs.

The KPOP boy group's label and agency announced that the remaining four would be completing their service at the same time, much to the relief of their fans.

"Thank you to the fans who always love BTS. We would like to provide follow-up information regarding the military enlistment of RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook," read BigHit's statement.

"RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are enlisting as active-duty soldiers in the Army to fulfill their military service obligations.

"RM and V are scheduled to enlist according to their own procedures, and Jimin and Jungkook are scheduled to enlist together, so there will be no separate official event on the day of their entry into the recruit training center."

Since all members are currently serving in South Korea's military camps, BTS has taken a hiatus until 2025.
