Thank you, internet. Today we get to hear Chris Brown and Kendrick Lamar's highly anticipated collaboration "Autumn Leaves" before the Sept. 26 release of X.
On the track, Brown sings about the struggles of moving on from a long-term relationship.
"It seems that all the autumn leaves are falling/I feel like you're the only reason for it," Brown belts on the chorus.
Throughout the course of the song, Brown sings some soulful and quite telling lyrics that may lead one to believe he's talking about a famous past love.
"I've been bleeding in your silence, I feel safer in your violence, I hold on like leaves in fall to what is left," he croons.
Kendrick Lamar then offers some sound advice, rapping, "When you're outlandish and you lose manners, to God you shall consult/When the bright cameras are still cramming in your face and it provoke/You to act mannish, just stay planted, because you reaping what you sow."
Last month, Chris Brown revealed the entire tracklist for X. The album will also feature guest spots by Trey Songz, R. Kelly, Akon, Nicki Minaj and more.
