The Killers Premiere New Song 'Just Another Girl' from Upcoming Best-Of Album 'Direct Hits' [LISTEN]
It's been almost 10 years since The Killers took the rock music scene by storm with their debut album Hot Fuss. Now, the Las Vegas band are prepping for their first best-of album, Direct Hits. In addition to their monster hits like "Mr. Brightside" and "Human," the compilation album is also set to feature two new tracks: "Shot at the Night" and "Just Another Girl." The latter received its debut on VH1 today (Nov. 4). -
London's Ministry of Sound May Close Amidst Conflict With New Housing Development
An electronic music landmark in London is fighting its own demise as plans for a new real estate development loom in the future. The Ministry of Sound, a club in the Newington neighborhood, has "only" been around for 21 years, but it stands prominently in the electronic music scene. Built in 1991 by James Palumbo, the club was ranked no. 7 in the world among EDM venues by DJ Magazine, and has developed its own record label thanks to its popularity. -

Sting and Paul Simon will be stage mates on an upcoming North American tour during which they will perform several of their greatest hits individually and as a duo, according to the New York Times. Activists Push for John Coltrane's Home to Become Museum
Celebrity musicians and more modest jazz fans are teaming up with hopes to convert John Coltrane's final home into a museum honoring the legendary saxophonist. The home, in Dix Hills on Long Island, was in line for demolition as recently as 2011, was where Coltrane composed A Love Supreme, simply one of the greatest jazz records of all time. He only lived at the residence for three years before dying of cancer at the age of 40. -

Download Announces Avenged Sevenfold and Rob Zombie as First Headliners
The first headliners for next year's Download Festival have been announced: Avenged Sevenfold and Rob Zombie. Download, held every year in Donington Park, England, is one of the largest rock-oriented music festivals in the world (we're talking heavy rock here...not the same scene as the average alt-rock based American festival). It's a three day affair, but A7X and Zombie have been the only acts announced thus far.
